Feminist Bir Olasılık Olarak Göbek Dansı: İstanbul’da Bakış, Cinsiyet ve Kamusal Alan

Bu çalışma, kadim bir dans formu olan göbek dansı üzerinden Türkiye’de kamusal alanda kadın bedeninin erkek bakışı tarafından çevrelenmesini ele alır. Göbek dansını kolektif bir ritüel olmaktan çıkarıp erkek bakışına hizmet eden bir anlayışa dönüştüren eğlence sektörüne bir alternatif olarak, dansı feminist bir pratiğe dönüştürebilmenin ve kolektif bir hareket olarak sunabilmenin olasılıklarını önerir. Bu çalışma Susturulmuş Grup Teorisi üzerinden çerçevelenir ve ayrıca görsel sanat alanından çeşitli kadın sanatçıların ürettiği çeşitli işleri de diğer feminist stratejiler olarak örnekler. Göbek dansını feminist bir kimliğin parçası olarak görebilmenin ve sahiplenmenin olanaklarını sanat üzerinden temellendirir.
